This is my cat, Kit Kat. Funny, funny cat. He prefers to come in and out of my
bedroom window. I suppose the door is way too common. |
|
This is another one of Wanda’s pics. This country road could be anywhere in the
south, but, I think it is in Mississippi and around the bend is Sunday dinner
just waiting for me to come home. |

I have no idea where this bunny came from. He just looks so amiable. Aren’t
all bunnies named Peter? |
|
Along Walnut Grove on the north side as you are driving through Shelby Farms
there are all these bird’s nests. I love the architecture....the thin branches
holding up the nest. This was a cold and clear day with a winter blue sky. |

This dog called to me.

This
is the dog park at Shelby Farms in Shelby
County, TN. My dog Allie and I go here a
lot. She was so helpful in getting pics,
I wanted to do this one for her.

Sunday afternoon looking for quintessential
Mississippi.

This
lady is fishing in Liddon Lake near Corinth,
MS. I took this pic a few years ago and
cannot remember her name. I asked her permission
to take her picture and to later paint her.
She agreed with as little interest
in me as possible. I think she just wanted
me to shut up and quit annoying the fish.

This
is the road to Sardis Wildlife Refuge. Allie
and I had a very good day together. It is
a really good thing we like each other’s
company, because life was at a minimum.

April
of 2006 the girls in my family went to New

a paper at a conference. We ended up taking
a tour, with a guide named Shelby, of Katrina

of the 9th Ward.

Sardis

this particular trip for pics, I had Allie

that winter sun on those bare trees. It
looks like spring overflow to me.

This
is just right up the road from Little Texas.
It has always fascinated me the way that
one field is spent after the harvest and
just next-door, lush Winter wheat is emerald
green.
